Prints on Photographic Paper
Our traditional photographic prints are made using a Fuji Pictography 4000 printer. All Fuji 4000 prints are hand signed by Jim. The limited editions images are signed and numbered by Jim. Sizes are limited. FujiFilm has estimated the longevity of these prints to be 20-30 years - somewhat longer than the traditional Type-C prints done in labs, in fact, even longer than the standard Ciba/Ilfochrome prints.
Giclée Fine Art Prints
Giclée Fine Art Prints are made using a high-quality inkjet printer with 100% cotton paper and archival pigmented inks. At 1440dpi, virtually any size is available. This is a very natural and very archival process compared to the traditional chemical based photographic prints. All Giclée Fine Art Prints are hand signed by Jim. The limited editions images are signed and numbered by Jim.
Black and white Giclée fine art prints are made using six shade (hexane) archival inquests to produce the richest print. The inks are created by blending black archival ink with a clear base stock to produce six different shades of black. There is absolutely no color added to the inks, they are neutral, very stable and have excellent permanence.
Prints are made on the archival paper featured below with an estimated longevity of over 200 years.* The paper is chosen by Jim and will depend on the image.
